Don’t be upset if you are not often chosen. The film business is a visual medium; acting ability is only one quality you must have. You must additionally have a look that fits one character in a film of which only a few characters are included in each film. I am writing to explain some changes made to the site. My hope was that this site would be more immediate than others (you having more control, as meaning "HERE / NOW", over placement of "YOUR" data plus picture); it's workable, but we all know the dangers we live with. Casting privately directly, through using e-mail addresses, leaves open the possibility of a predator luring innocent persons without being observed and leaves open the possibility of illicit activities being operated on site without means to notice and stop them. Therefore Extras/Talent e-mail addresses will no longer be asked for in the Extras/Talent submit to weblog; however in lieu, I have created a weblog of casting-call rosters. Casting personal reviewing for talent are instructed to utilize a roster in the manner of first inserting their production's Title, contact information, phone number, and address on their roster ( found in submit roster) for display publically here ( in the weblog of rosters) ; then casting personnel may simultaneously review, in another window, (by copying now, and after going to submit-roster, pasting into a newly opened window the following web address )http://books.dreambook.com/webhost7/main.html, the Extras/Talent WEBLOG to select and list on their roster each Date/Time-stamp associated with each extra/talent-found-in-the-Extra/Talent weblog whom has qualities meeting their needs. Extras/Talent will need to review the production rosters on occasion ( found in the Weblog of Rosters) to observe whether their Date/Time-stamp has been called for possible use in a film. I suggest that you verify the legitimacy of the production by checking to see if their title information is listed at an agency such as the Louisiana Film Commission http://lafilm.org etc.; then later contacting the production company through their here publicly displayed information. I cannot assure you that this site will be of value to you but it is free and I dream it will take off on its own.
Production companies, in regard to casting calls, please click "submit roster"-- see below, in submit roster enter your production name, contact information, and the time span in which your call is to remain open, then insert the date and time stamps of as many extras/ talent found in the Extras/talent Weblog that are of interest to you; eventually however, you must provide physical location and the hosting to receive them.
